Did you know that more than 11 million Americans struggle with vision problems, many without insurance or funds to cover the costs of an eye exam and eyeglasses?
Medicare:
A federally funded healthcare program based on age and disability. The stand-alone Medicare program provides one comprehensive eye exam every 12 months. Many people opt for a Medicare advantage plan. Eye Love Care accepts straight Medicare and all United Healthcare or AARP Medicare Advantage plans. Advantage plans we accept are limited to United Healthcare plans at this time.
United Healthcare Medicare advantage plans are administered by Spectera. This Medicare Advantage plan provides an eye exam and basic glasses to include progressive lenses at no cost. Add ons such as anti-reflective coatings do have a copayment, but you have options regarding lens types and coatings.
Medicaid:
Medicaid is a state funded program for low income patients. For young people 20 years and younger Medicaid allows for a full exam and glasses with many options such as premium frames as well as anti-reflective and UV coatings at no cost. For patients that are 21 and older Medicaid provides one comprehensive eye exam every 12 months. Glasses are not a covered benefit for people 21 and over. Because of this Eye Love Care has put together low cost packages for glasses that nobody in Colorado Springs can beat. Let’s find the perfect glasses for you at an affordable price!
So many people suffer from vision problems in silence. At Eye Love Care, we believe everyone deserves the beauty of great vision. We are happy to provide that hand-up to low-income residents here in Colorado Springs.
